About the Role

SmartPropFirm helps traders compare prop firms, understand their rules, discover promotions, access educational resources, and use tools built around the prop-trading experience. We’re expanding our data team and looking for Junior Prop Data & Product Specialists to support the information and tools available across our platform. You’ll research changes throughout the prop-firm industry, organize data, update platform content, create or improve trader resources, and assist with new trading and prop-firm tools. This is a flexible junior position. Every team member should have prop-firm experience and basic technical knowledge, but you may specialize based on your strengths:

• Prop-firm research and structured data
• Articles, guides, news, and education
• Trading tools and product support
• You do not need to be an expert in every area. We’re looking for capable people who can follow direction, learn quickly, accept feedback, and take ownership of assigned work.

What You’ll Do

Prop-Firm Research and Data

• Monitor prop firms for new plans, promotions, pricing, rule changes, and platform updates
• Verify information using reliable and preferably official sources
• Update SmartPropFirm’s structured prop-firm data
• Organize plan details, account sizes, drawdown rules, payout policies, restrictions, and fees
• Keep promotions and time-sensitive offers current
• Standardize information so firms can be compared accurately
• Record sources and maintain a clear history of important changes
• Flag conflicting, unclear, or potentially misleading information for review
• Perform quality checks before updates are published

Content and Education

• Create and update prop-firm profiles, comparison pages, and plan descriptions
• Write clear articles about important industry news and changes
• Develop guides that help traders understand firms, rules, accounts, and platforms
• Improve older content when information or products change
• Turn complicated trading concepts into simple explanations
• Help create educational material for Smart Academy
• Organize information for beginners without removing important technical details

Tools and Product Support

• Assist with trading calculators, comparison tools, trackers, and prop-firm utilities
• Help structure the data required for new platform features
• Support developers with research, documentation, testing, and quality assurance
• Test tools and updates from a trader’s perspective
• Identify missing information, confusing flows, and incorrect results
• Help turn internal data into useful features for SmartPropFirm users

What We’re Looking For

• Real familiarity with prop firms and the prop-trading process
• Understanding of evaluations, funded accounts, drawdowns, consistency rules, payouts, and common restrictions
• A basic foundation in development or technical work
• Ability to work confidently with structured information
• Strong online research and source-verification skills
• Clear writing and communication
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and established data standards
• Comfortable receiving direct feedback and revising work
• Reliable, organized, and able to complete assigned work on schedule
• Willingness to learn new systems and take on greater responsibility over time

Technical Baseline

Applicants should have experience with some of the following:

• JSON and structured data
• Git and GitHub
• Content-management systems
• Spreadsheets and data organization
• Testing websites or digital products
• You do not need advanced experience in every area. However, you should understand basic development concepts and be comfortable working alongside developers.

Helpful Experience

• Writing trading or prop-firm content
• Creating educational materials or structured lessons
• Working for a prop firm, trading company, fintech platform, or trading community
• Maintaining a database or large content library
• Building or testing calculators and comparison tools
• UI/UX or product-development experience
• Data collection, normalization, or quality assurance
• Following fast-moving industries where information changes frequently
