Consistency
Evaluation Accounts
- 35% consistency rule on the 1-Step Daily evaluation — your most profitable day cannot account for more than 35% of your total profits. A 0.99% extra buffer applies, meaning your best day can be up to 35.99% to pass in as few as two days.
- 40% consistency rule on the 1-Step Daily Pro evaluation — your most profitable day cannot account for more than 40% of your total profits.
- No consistency rule on 1-Step Sprint evaluations.
- If the consistency rule is not met, the account is not breached — traders must continue trading until the ratio is satisfied.
Sim Funded Accounts
- 35% consistency rule on 1-Step Daily funded accounts — no single day can account for more than 35% of total profits.
- No consistency rule on 1-Step Sprint funded accounts (from 2nd payout onwards — 25% applies to 1st payout only, effective April 21, 2026; legacy accounts purchased before that date retain a 20% rule).
- No consistency rule on 1-Step Daily Pro funded accounts.
- 20% consistency rule on Instant Bolt funded accounts — applies to the 1st payout only. No consistency rule from the 2nd payout onwards.
- No day-based consistency rule on Instant Direct funded accounts — the Biggest Trade Rule applies instead (see below).
Algorithmic Trading
All Account Types
- Bots, Expert Advisors (EAs), and any form of automated or algorithmic trading are strictly prohibited across all account types.
- Violating this rule results in reward denial and account closure.
Scalping Rules
All Account Types
- Microscalping is not outright banned but cannot form the core of the trading approach. At least 50% of total profits must come from trades held longer than 10 seconds.
- FundedSeat monitors this rule to prevent exploitation of execution speed advantages.
News Trading
All Account Types
- News trading is allowed without restrictions across all evaluation and funded accounts.
Biggest Trade Rule (Instant Direct Funded Only)
Instant Direct Funded Accounts
- No single trade's profit should exceed 15% of the total profits generated since the last payout (or from starting balance) at the time a payout request is submitted.
- Trades on the same instrument, or on instruments within the same group (e.g., equity indices: ES, NQ, YM, RTY and their micro equivalents), and in the same direction that occur within 3 minutes of each other are considered part of the same trade idea and will be combined for this rule.
Overnight Holding / Trading Hours
All Account Types
- All positions must be closed before 4:59 PM EST Monday through Friday. Any open positions will be automatically closed at 4:59 PM EST — this does not result in account failure.
- On Fridays, all positions must be closed before 3:59 PM EST.
- Swing trading and overnight holding are not permitted on any account type.
- New trades may be placed starting at 6:00 PM EST Monday through Thursday, and on Sunday evenings.
Inactivity Rule
Evaluation Accounts
- Place at least one trade every 20 days. Accounts will be deactivated 20 days after the last trade.
Sim Funded Accounts
- Traders must place at least one trade per week (Monday through Friday) to keep their funded account active. This is per account, not per user.
- Failing to trade within the weekly window will result in account deactivation.
Copy Trading
Allowed
- Copy trading is allowed between your own FundedSeat accounts.
Not Allowed
- Copy trading is only permitted between accounts registered under the trader's own name.
- Copying trades from other individuals or engaging in shared copy trading arrangements is strictly prohibited.
- If third-party trade copier tools are used, traders do so at their own discretion. FundedSeat does not provide support for issues arising from their use and is not liable for any resulting errors or disruptions.
DCA (Dollar Cost Averaging)
Policy
- FundedSeat does not publish an explicit DCA policy. Strategies must comply with general risk management expectations. Prohibited practices include order book exploitation, server spamming, and execution abuse.
Hedging
All Account Types
- Hedging is prohibited, including opposite account trading (going long on one account and short on another for the same instrument). Violating this rule results in reward denial and account closure.
Simultaneous Mini and Micro Contracts
All Account Types
- Trading both mini and micro futures contracts of the same underlying instrument simultaneously is prohibited. Violating this rule results in account closure.
Passed Accounts
There is no limit on the number of evaluations you can purchase and trade simultaneously. For funded accounts, any trader can hold a maximum allocation of 5 funded accounts at any given time, of which a maximum of 3 can be from plans with restricted allocation (any 150K accounts, 1-Step Daily accounts, or 1-Step Daily Pro accounts).
Max Number of Accounts
Unlimited evaluation accounts. Maximum of 5 active funded accounts per trader at any given time. Up to 3 of those 5 funded accounts may be 150K accounts, 1-Step Daily accounts, or 1-Step Daily Pro accounts.
Clear Path to Live
Transition Eligibility
Requirements
- A trader may be moved to a Live account after taking 4 payouts in a single account, or after 10 payouts since the last Live transition (or since starting with FundedSeat).
- FundedSeat's Review team monitors all traders and may reach out to move a trader to Live before 4 payouts at FundedSeat's discretion.
- Live account upgrades are invitation-only and granted at FundedSeat's discretion. Eligible traders are contacted via email.
Balance Carried Forward
Process
- All Simulated Funded Accounts are closed upon Live transition.
- Any Simulated Funded account that has received at least one payout transitions to Live — accounts with no payouts received will not transition.
- Any trades or progress made after the last successful payout will not be included in the Live Transition.
- Up to 5 Live Accounts may be active simultaneously.
- The Live account begins with a $0 balance and an initial EOD trailing drawdown equivalent to the starting drawdown of the original Simulated Funded account (e.g., a $50K sim account gives a $2,000 EOD drawdown on the Live account).
- The EOD drawdown locks at $0.
- The Live account has the same max position size as the original Simulated Funded account.
