About the Role

SmartPropFirm is looking for a Video Editor & Content Producer to lead the post-production of our video content. Your primary responsibility will be editing. You’ll take footage from our content creators, SmartPropFirmTV hosts, platform walkthroughs, and other recordings and turn it into clear, engaging, and professional videos. You’ll also support the production process by helping creators plan recordings, identifying missing footage, organizing assets, and preparing completed videos for publication. Extensive knowledge of trading and prop firms is required. You should understand the subject well enough to recognize important moments, improve explanations, catch potential inaccuracies, and edit content specifically for a trader audience. Both full-time and part-time arrangements are available.

What You’ll Do

Video Editing

• Edit raw footage into polished short-form and long-form videos
• Improve pacing, structure, storytelling, and viewer retention
• Create strong openings, transitions, and calls to action
• Add captions, graphics, charts, screenshots, callouts, and supporting footage
• Clean and balance audio
• Perform basic color correction and visual cleanup
• Remove mistakes, unnecessary pauses, and repetitive sections
• Format videos correctly for each social platform
• Turn long-form recordings and livestreams into multiple short-form clips
• Maintain consistent SmartPropFirm branding across every video
• Export final videos using the correct quality and platform settings
• Organize project files, footage, assets, and final versions

Content Production

• Work with content creators before recording to improve structure and preparation
• Help develop outlines, scripts, shot lists, and visual requirements
• Identify missing footage, screen recordings, graphics, or explanations
• Give creators clear feedback that improves future recordings
• Coordinate with the Marketing Lead on deadlines and publishing priorities
• Work with the Data Team to verify prop-firm information
• Work with the Designer on thumbnails, graphics, and branded assets
• Help manage the post-production calendar
• Prepare videos, captions, timestamps, and other publishing materials
• Recommend new formats and editing styles based on performance

What We’re Looking For

• Strong professional video-editing skills
• Extensive knowledge of prop firms and trading
• Understanding of evaluations, funded accounts, drawdowns, payouts, consistency rules, and common restrictions
• Experience editing both short-form and long-form content
• Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and audience retention
• Ability to recognize the most valuable moments in trading-related footage
• Experience adding captions, graphics, screenshots, charts, and supporting visuals
• Ability to follow brand standards and maintain visual consistency
• Strong file organization and version-control habits
• Reliable communication and ability to meet publishing deadlines
• Comfortable receiving feedback and completing revisions
• Able to work independently while coordinating with multiple creators

Editing Software

Applicants should be highly proficient with at least one professional editing platform, such as:

• Adobe Premiere Pro
• DaVinci Resolve
• Final Cut Pro
• Experience with After Effects, motion graphics, Photoshop, Audition, or similar tools is helpful.

Helpful Experience

• Editing for trading, finance, fintech, or prop-firm brands
• Producing YouTube channels or social media content
• Editing livestreams, podcasts, interviews, or educational videos
• Creating motion graphics and animated explainers
• Developing reusable editing templates
• Writing hooks, scripts, titles, and descriptions
• Reviewing analytics and improving viewer retention
• Managing content calendars and production workflows
• Creating thumbnails or social media graphics
• Personally trading with prop firms
