Compare Perps Prop Firms by Rules, Payouts and Price

Compare the account mechanics behind every perpetual futures evaluation—leverage, liquidation and payout rules, not just the headline discount.

The basics

What are perps?

Perps, short for perpetual futures, are futures contracts with no expiry date. Instead of converging with the asset at expiry, a perp stays close to its spot price through a funding rate: a small payment exchanged between long and short positions at regular intervals.

Perps trade around the clock on crypto venues such as Hyperliquid, mostly on crypto pairs like BTC and ETH, and often with leverage. A perps prop firm lets you trade them with the firm's capital: pass an evaluation, stay within its drawdown and leverage rules, and keep a share of the profits.

What to compare

Four comparisons that change the outcome

The nominal account size tells you little. What matters is how the account works from the first trade to the first payout.

  1. Model the drawdown

Check whether the loss limit trails equity or balance, how funding payments count, and when the floor locks.

  2. Check leverage and liquidation

Compare max leverage per asset, position caps, and whether a venue liquidation fails the account.

  3. Trace the payout path

Compare payout frequency, profit split, minimum days, and whether payouts are in USDC or fiat.

  4. Match the venue

Confirm the exchange (Hyperliquid or the firm's own), listed pairs, fees, and 24/7 trading rules.

Common questions

Perps prop firm comparison FAQ

Compare the drawdown model, leverage and liquidation rules, the payout path, and the venue and pairs you can trade, then the total cost including resets.

Perpetual contracts never expire and trade 24/7 on crypto venues such as Hyperliquid; futures firms trade CME contracts in exchange sessions.

They can. Funding payments are credited to or debited from open perpetual positions at set intervals, so they change account equity like any other profit or loss. Whether they count toward the daily and maximum loss limits varies by firm; check the firm's drawdown rules before holding a position through a funding interval.
