Was my first prop firm and my first payout the rules weren't as clear as id like them to be. I ended up losing the account after i had a 20k buffer.... when i lost 8k i didnt see and clear rules on why when i was still well above buffer .... i like that fact that u can have 20 accounts but honestly there are bettwr firms out there .... waiting for the day other firms have 20 accounts ... other than that if u follow the rules they will pay u out ... my only concern is it seems like they have hidden rules at times

Apex is great if you want to scale your capital for experienced users. For beginners, the evaluation being really cheap, is a low entry barrier that can be beneficial, it's a playground with decent rules to follow. It can help to stay consistent in the trading phase. They don't have the best reputation for payouts, a lot of denial & drama around this firm. Nevertheless, if you follow the rules, you should be fine

I love the fact that you can have 20 funded accounts, i have not seen that in any other firm. I also love that its a one day pass account.

Review for apex
My overall experience with Apex Trader Funding has been very positive. The evaluation process is well organized, and the trading rules are clearly explained, making it easy to understand the requirements. The platform performs reliably, and customer support has been responsive whenever assistance was needed. I also appreciate the flexibility of the account options and the opportunity to demonstrate trading skills in a structured environment. Overall, Apex Trader Funding provides a professional experience with transparent policies, making it a solid choice for traders seeking a reputable futures funding firm.

Legacy Apex was definitely better, since payouts were uncapped after 6, and there was much more chance to feel that you could "hit it REALLY big" just through scaling 20 Apex accounts. Now, they make you pass in 30 days or lose the evaluation. To me, this just encourages bad trading decisions. I much prefer firms that offer a one-time payment option (or even a monthly billing is preferred). Apex has always seemed like a firm that wanted traders to do well. However, they always have had too much gray area in their payouts in the past. I've had several payouts approved with them, and a few denied. I much prefer an objective set of payout rules (which is what they are now fortunately moving to with Apex 3.0). I wish they had better support, like an active Discord channel, and that they didn't close accounts after a certain number of payouts are taken (their new 3.0 policy). This firm changed the game in the past, but I feel that their newest update leaves a lot to be desired. Bring back monthly billing (or better yet, a one-time fee), and I might consider coming back.

I traded with Apex Trader Funding throughout 2024 and 2025, and overall I had a great experience with them. My favorite account was their $250K Intraday Plan. Being able to pass the evaluation in just one trading day made it an incredible value for the money, especially for experienced traders. Over the time I traded with Apex, I received around $12,000 in payouts, and the payout process was reliable. In my opinion, Apex is one of the best prop firms if your goal is to scale up with multiple accounts and manage larger amounts of capital. The only downside I experienced was with customer support. At one point, I was restricted from purchasing new evaluation accounts. When I reached out for clarification, the responses felt generic and automated, and it was difficult to get a clear explanation or speak with someone who could properly resolve the issue. Fortunately, that restriction has since been lifted. I'm planning to trade with Apex again, this time being extra careful to stay fully compliant with all of their rules and policies. Despite my support experience, I still believe Apex Trader Funding is one of the strongest choices for traders who want access to significant capital and the ability to scale across multiple funded accounts.

I've only been paid out once by this firm, and will definitely try them out further down the road. The only thing I don't like about APEX is the activation fee. The new bundle addition has been great at getting evals at a cheap price, but then you have to activate them all individually and within 7 days. There seems to be a lot of other firms that have cheaper options right now and even with one day to pass other firms are starting to offer that as well. If their payout structure was more like the legacy accounts, their EOD plans would be gas.

Review for apex
Apex Trader Funding 50K EOD account is one of the more practical and widely used options in the futures prop space after their major 4.0 overhaul in early 2026. It offers a cleaner rule set than the old model, genuine EOD trailing drawdown that many traders prefer, a 100% profit split on early payouts, and the ability to run multiple accounts. It is not perfect — the daily loss limit, consistency rule, payout ladder, and activation fee create real friction — but it remains a legitimate, high-volume firm that pays promptly.

Best advantage with Apex over all propfrims is allowing to trade with 20 accounts. I am trading with them last few years and overall great experience. Iam impressed with new EOD trailing accounts when compared to legacy accounts. No messy rules and no payouts denials.
