I´ve been trading with Topstep and I´m very satisfied with the overall experience. The trading enviroment is excellent and their rules are clear, simple, and easy to follow, which makes trading much smoother and less stressful. I also want to highlight their customer support-it´s truly top-notch. Mark from the support team helped me resolve an issue and he was professional, fast, and very helpful throughout the whole process. Overall, I really enjoy trading with Topstep and can definitely recommendthem to other traders.

I was one of the customers of TheFuturesDesk prior to TopStep's acquisition in early April 2026. It was a long and circuitous path to get even a fraction of my unused TheFuturesDesk credits (from Youtube/affiliate giveaways) honored by TopStep, and the whole experience leaves much to be desired - the firms should have had a blanket policy to take care of everyone in my situation, and instead we were all forced to individually seek resolution. In the end, TopStep deemed a 99% off discount on first month of the no-activation 50k eval ($95 or $85 with the addition of dll) to be adequate restitution for $250 of voided TheFuturesDesk credits. Windy, the TopStep support AI, loves hallucinating irrelevant information and will proactively close tickets even if the last message from TopStep support was one requesting more time to get back to the customer. Their actual human support agents aren't much better - you'll be lucky if they address you by name, which is a minimal courtesy if you think about it. Apparently these support agents do have the discretion to make things right, but they will play dumb and pingpong you elsewhere in loops before conceding the slightest ground - in my case, telling me I should bring it up with TheFuturesDesk, even though I had already exhausted that route months before reaching out to TopStep, by which time TheFuturesDesk no longer existed as an independent entity! I must say the ProjectX platform has improved by leaps and bounds since winter 2025 - the platform in summer 2026 is almost enjoyable to use.

TopStep is definitely one of the top firms I'd recommend. They pay fast now and have fair rules. The only downside is a DLL for a cheaper price but still within fair rules. Easily my top 5 firms. No payout denials and quick customer support. The price is much cheaper than most firms with a DLL.

good old firm . their new lab experiment that they offer for limited time are good value for money . ALSO almost no one offers STATIC drawdown so thats a big positive

Topstep is one of the best futures prop firms to trade with. They are one of the oldest and most reputable in the trading space. Their rules are simple and easy to follow. I have received a few payouts from them and they have given me no issues in paying me. Their live support is quick to respond, polite and great at what they do. They were my first futures prop firm I used and I am still actively trading with them. I would definetly recommend them to all level of traders, specifically those new to the prop firms since in my opinion they are the most simplest and easiest to get paid out from.

Topstep is an OG firm. They have changed a lot since but they aren’t as good as they used to be. Their rules to get a payout are pretty much the same, which is great. My only gripe with them is their customer support is non-existent. You’ll only get AI Windy majority of the time. Their accounts are straightforward and their prices are fair. Topstep is slowly making their way back up the prop firm list.

I highly recommend it to serious futures traders seeking a reputable funded trading program.

The firm was great, and I just feel it's too expensive, especially when they haven't perfected their systems

It was the first company I used to open a futures account. They used to be the best in the business, but about a year ago they started making changes: they limited payouts and added rules to funded accounts. They also removed the trading platforms, keeping only TopstepX.

An original prop firm with many good things about it. most of the rules are transparent and they do pay traders. One issue is you are forced to use project x. for many they prefer it but it can go through periods of major issues which makes it almost unusable at times. Also they have been adding more limitations to payout amounts and restricting how many profits can be transferred to live. I think the main thing to consider with topstep is if you like projectX. if so then go for it but if not then just choose someone else.
