The OG Prop firm, I think most people will agree that they are the most trusted name in the space, but i will say over the more recent years, they have not been as innovative as they previously were. besides opening their own Brokerage, their prices have remained somewhat costly with activation fees up until recently where they changed payout caps, requirements and plans to allow for an all-in fee with less potential payout per period. But I have never seen topstep deny a payout for a BS reason unlike some other firms out there. respectfully i have had a good experience with topstep, except for slow customer service, which i can understand due to the fact they have a very large following.

After trying multiple prop firms over the years, I can honestly say that this is one of the most reliable and trustworthy firms currently available on the market. If I'm not mistaken, it is also one of the oldest and most established prop firms in the industry, and that experience clearly shows in every aspect of their business. Topstep is one of the more established names in futures prop trading and for good reason. The trading rules are the best I've come across — perfectly structured, fair at every stage, and genuinely designed with the trader in mind rather than to trip you up. Payouts have been reliable and fast, no hoops to jump through once you've earned it. Support is good and responsive, though occasionally takes a bit longer during busy periods. The platform and dashboard are clean and easy to use, covering everything you need without feeling overwhelming. If you want a prop firm with rock solid rules and a trustworthy payout process, Topstep deserves serious consideration.

Topstep is one of the OG firms out there. They have been in the game for over a decade. The Rules are super straight forward. No hidden Rules and No payout denials(as far as I know). The firm is reputable tho the support is really slow and sometimes take days to reply which is concerning. But rest assured the payout will hit your bank if you follow all the rules. Topstep has been the best firm from years but now with the recent changes that they are bringing they definitely lost the top spot. The Payout window to reach the bank from the account is huge. Now they are adopting to instant payout after which they will surely will claim the top spot again.

Trading with Topstep has been positive overall, but it could also be better. The rules are easy, and I love Topstep X (except when it's glitching lol). Only gripe I have with them is support. The response time can be long, and it's a complete hit or miss as far as actually getting your problem resolved.

Topstep has been and continues to be a reliable firm that has fair rules and does payout. That being said, support has been less than stellar with it taking time to contact support, especially when there are widespread issues. Their platform that you are required to trade on has a good interface, but has had issues in the past. Similarly, payout speeds in the past have been very slow, but they said they have fixed this. Overall a good firm.

Great rules, good platform, only issue is sometimes ProjectX goes down and it's annoying. Also these accounts are a little more expensive.

Topstep was actually the first prop firm I ever used so I have a bit of a soft spot for them, but I'll be real. The biggest thing that pushed me away was the monthly rebill. I was a new trader when I was with them, still very much in the learning process, and having that monthly charge looming over me made me rush. I was forcing trades trying to pass before the next bill hit instead of actually learning how to trade properly. That's on me to an extent but the model definitely didn't help. The firms I'm with now charge you once and that's it. The difference in how you approach your trading is night and day honestly, at least for me personally. Never got a payout with them so I can't really comment on that part. Platform-wise it's a bit of a mixed bag. They've had technical issues, I experienced some myself and from what I hear it still happens from time to time. But on the flip side the interface is actually pretty easy to use, like genuinely beginner friendly which I appreciated at the time. Nothing overcomplicated, easy to find what you need. Rules are fine. Not the most trader friendly out there when you look at what other firms are offering these days but nothing crazy either. You can tell why a lot of traders still pick Topstep though, they've been around forever and that trust factor is real. Whatever else you want to say about them you know your money is safe and they'll pay you. In a space where firms disappear overnight that actually means a lot.
