MyFundedFutures Redesigns the Pro Plan

MyFundedFutures has rebuilt its Pro plan. Funded accounts trade 3, 6 or 9 contracts, live accounts start at $0 on an end-of-day trailing loss limit, and sim profit now sits in a Reserve that pays out as a Performance Bonus. Here is every rule, and what changed.

MyFundedFutures, the US futures prop firm led by Matthew Leech, runs three plans: Rapid, Pro and Builder. Pro is the one built for experienced traders, with no daily loss limit, frequent payouts after a buffer and a $100,000 lifetime payout ceiling per trader.

The firm has now redesigned it. The evaluation is largely the same, but the funded stage trades smaller, and the route to live capital is new from start to finish: a $0 live account, a trailing loss limit and a Reserve that holds sim profit until it is earned out as a bonus. The rest of this article walks through each stage as it works today, then lists exactly what changed.

The Evaluation

The Pro evaluation comes in three sizes plus a one-day version of the 50K. Each is a one-time purchase, with no activation fee at funding.

The One Day account trades a higher target with no consistency rule, so it can be passed in a single session. Once funded, it follows the same rules as the Pro 50K.

Note the news rule flips at funding: Tier 1 news trading is allowed in the evaluation and not allowed on the funded account.

Payouts

A funded Pro account can request its first payout 14 calendar days after its first trade, once it has cleared the payout buffer. No profit can be withdrawn before the buffer is cleared.

Pro 50KPro 100KPro 150K
Payout buffer$2,100$3,100$4,600
Minimum payout$1,000$1,000$1,000
Max Loss Limit after the first payout$50,100, static$100,100, static$150,100, static

Payouts are capped at $100,000 per trader, across all Pro accounts combined. After the first payout the Max Loss Limit stops trailing and sits $100 above the starting balance, so every later withdrawal narrows the gap to it.

The Route to Live

A Pro trader is reviewed for a live account when any of these happens:

  • Three consecutive payouts on the same Pro account.
  • Reaching the $100,000 payout cap. Profits above $100,000 are forfeited.
  • An invitation from the risk team, which can come at any time.
  • Reaching $20,000 in profit. This triggers a review only; it does not guarantee a move to live.

The Live Account

Minimum payout$250$250$250
Profit split80/2080/2080/20

Because the live account starts at $0, its balance can go negative, down to the Max Loss Limit. That negative balance is what the Reserve is there to cover.

The Reserve

The Reserve is the sim funded profit MyFundedFutures holds while the trader is live. It ends in one of two ways.

1. Performance Bonus. The trader receives whatever is left in the Reserve once both of these are met:

Pro 50KPro 100KPro 150K
Profitable live trading days202020
Cumulative gross live payouts$10,000$20,000$30,000

A trader who moved more than one Pro account live receives the Reserves as one bonus, and the payout threshold rises with the number of accounts moved.

2. The live account hits its Max Loss Limit. The Reserve pays off the negative live balance, and whatever is left goes back to the dormant sim funded account. That account can only be withdrawn from, not traded. Profit above the buffer is paid at 80/20, and the buffer itself is paid at 50% if the sim account was traded for fewer than 30 days, or 80% at 30 days or more. The sim account then closes.

MyFundedFutures' own example on the Pro 50K: the Reserve holds $5,000 and the live account closes at −$1,500. $1,500 of the Reserve covers the live loss, leaving $3,500. The first $2,100 of that is the buffer; the account was traded for fewer than 30 days, so the trader receives 50% of it, $1,050. The remaining $1,400 is above the buffer and is paid at 80%, $1,120. In total, the trader receives $2,170.

The Cooldown

Losing a live account starts a 21-day cooldown. For 21 calendar days the trader cannot trade any sim funded account or buy new evaluations, resets or accounts. After that the restrictions end and dormant accounts are turned back on.

Existing Pro Accounts

Accounts bought on the old Pro products keep every old rule. Old live accounts keep their static drawdown and the old unlock (20 winning days at 4% of the starting balance plus 3 payouts), and old Pro sim funded accounts do not go into a Reserve when the trader moves to live. The changes above apply to Pro accounts bought on the redesigned plan.

The Bottom Line

The redesigned Pro plan trades smaller and pays later. Funded accounts carry roughly 40% fewer contracts, and the shortcut of rolling excess profit into a funded live balance is gone: above $100,000, profit is simply forfeited. In exchange, the live account no longer locks away an allocation, and sim profit is not lost at the move to live. It waits in the Reserve, either cushioning a bad live run or paying out once the trader proves consistent with 20 profitable days and the payout milestones.

For traders aiming at live capital rather than sim payouts, the Reserve makes the move to live less of a cliff. For traders who sized positions to the old 5 / 10 / 15 limits, the funded stage now needs a smaller playbook. Full rules for every plan are on the MyFundedFutures firm page.
